Artichoke Pizza

 1 x 10 inch pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough (for 10 in. pizza)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-1½ cup shredded mozzarella chees
  • ½ cup canned artichoke hearts, cut into small pieces and drained very well


Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400F

2. In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and garlic powder, until a paste form

3. Stir in milk, ¼ cup at a time, until thick sauce forms. Stir in ¼ cup of parmesan cheese

4. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat

5. On pizza dough, spread sauce evenly

6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese

7. Top with artichokes. Then, sprinkle with rest of parmesan cheese

8. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 400F
