
Ingredients:
Chicken:
- 0.75 lb chicken thighs; cut into 1 inch pieces
- 3 clove garlic; sliced
- 1 inch ginger; sliced
- 1 ½ tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 ½ tbsp water
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 ½ tsp ginger powder
- 1 ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
Rice:
- 1 ½ cups short grain rice
- 1 ¼ cup water
Garnish (optional)
- 1 stalk scallion; sliced
- Soy sauce or sweet soy sauce
Directions:
1. Marinate chicken with all the ingredients for at least 1 hour
2. Rince rice until water runs clear
3. Add rice and water to the rice cooker
4. Evenly place chicken on top of uncooked rice, do not add excess marinade to rice
5. Turn rice cooker to cook. Let it cook until ready
