Making your own marinara sauce is actually not difficult. And what's even better is that you can customize the taste to your liking.

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- ½ medium onion; diced
- ½ head garlic; minced
- 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/3 cup water
- ½ tsp granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil, saute onion and garlic until soft and slightly browned
2. Stir in rest of the ingredients
3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 mins.
