This is our version of the "Korean Street Toast"
- thick toast slice, lightly toasted
- one leaf of cabbage, shredded
- one egg
- one slice of cheese of choice
- salt and pepper to taste
- sugar
- ketchup
- butter
Directions:
- Spread butter on a lightly toasted slice of bread and slice of cheese. Set aside.
- In a bowl, scramble egg and add cabbage. Season to taste. Cook cabbage omelet. Place cabbage omelet over cheese toast. The heat will slightly melt the cheese.
- Sprinkle omelet lightly with granulated sugar.
- Add ketchup to taste. Enjoy warm!
Notes/Tips:
- Make this more filling with two slices of bread or add ham
- we used American cheese here but any cheese of choice will work great
- if you like it extra sweet, mix your ketchup with a little bit of condensed milk
- to add a pop of color, add in some shredded carrots to the cabbage and egg omelet
