Mixed Grain Rice

  Makes 3-5 servings



Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup black rice
  • 1/4 cup hull-less barley
  • 1/4 cup red rice
  • 1/4 cup purple barley
  • 1/4 cup rye berries
  • 1/4 cup short grain brown rice
  • 1/4 cup white jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup dry oats 

Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together. This will make about 2 cups of dry grains. Rinse with water and drain. 
2. Soak grains for at least 30 minutes before cooking. 
3. Cook with 2 cups water in rice cooker. 

This type of rice is chewy and flavorful on its own. It pairs especially well with soups and stews. Enjoy!
