Pork & Onion

This pork and onion recipe is something my grandma use to make for me when I was younger. It's really simple to make yet very flavorful. Eat it with rice, noodles, or stuffed in buns, either way it's delicious!

Makes 2-3 servings

Ingredients:

  • 8oz ground pork
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • cooking oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • green onions (optional)
  • water

Directions:

1. Heat skillet on low heat. Add cooking oil. Add onion. When onions are half way cooked through, add garlic and ground pork.

2.  Once the pork turns color, add soy sauce, fish sauce, pepper and sugar.

3. Add enough water just to make a sauce, about a a couple tablespoons to 1/4 cup of water depending on how sauce-y you'd like it

4. Once pork is thoroughly cooked, garnish with fresh scallion. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or use as a stuffing.
