Egg tofu is not the same as "regular" tofu, it's made with a blend of soy and eggs. It has a very soft and smooth texture. It comes in tubes instead of rectangular containers.
Growing up I loved eating tofu, not sure why, but I wanted it almost everyday. I always requested for my mom to make me a dish of tofu, and to save time, she would make these quick and easy egg tofu for me to pair with rice. Hope you'll like them too!

Ingredients:
- 1 pack egg tofu
- 1/3 cup corn starch
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
- 3 cloves garlic; minced
- ½ cup water
- ½ tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/8 tsp ground white pepper
- ½ tbsp water
Directions:
- Cut egg tofu into discs of desired size

- Coat each piece with corn starch (reserve ½ tbsp of cornstarch for later)

- Deep fry and set aside on plate lined with paper towel

- In a saucepan, heat up ½ tbsp vegetable oil over medium heat
- Fry minced garlic until slightly browned. Mix in ½ cup water, oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, white pepper

- Mix reserved ½ tbsp cornstarch with ½ tbsp water until well mixed. Add into pan to thicken sauce, stirring constantly

- When sauce is thickened, add in fried egg tofu and coat with sauce

- Serve with rice
