Cold Tofu

This cold tofu dish is similar to our cold eggplant salad. Very simple to make yet delicious! If you like it extra saucy, double up on the marinade/sauce.  

Makes 3-4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of firm tofu (about 425g), cut into desired slabs
  • 3 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 scallions chopped
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoon water  
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste) 
  • cooking oil




Directions:

1. In a heated pan, add cooking oil. When hot enough, pan fry each tofu slice just enough until you start to see the tofu change color. Drain oil and let cool. Once cool enough, arrange into a dish deep enough to hold marinade or sauce or put into a ziploc bag.

2. In a small mixing bowl, add together remaining ingredients to make sauce. Add/pour over tofu.

3.     Refrigerate for at least overnight for flavors to combine. Serve chilled.
