Roasted Brussel Sprouts

  Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:


    - 1.5 lb Brussel sprouts 
    - 3 tablespoons oil (olive, canola, etc)  
    - 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt 
    - black pepper to taste 
    - 3/4 teaspoon sugar 

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Cut the ends of the brussels sprouts (the brown ends) and place in a big bowl and combine with oil, garlic salt and black pepper. 

3. Spread evenly to a single layer on a sheet pan and bake for about 30-35min. Occasionally shake the sheet pan or toss it to evenly brown them. 

4. After 30-35min, take them out and sprinkle them with sugar and put back into the oven for another 5-10min just until the sugar caramelizes.
